Are you insured and bonded?


At Sylvia's we take great pride in ensuring that our clients and their homes/businesses are completely protected through professional insurance and bonding. Even though we are very careful in your home/business, rarely accidents can occur. If this is the case, we will do everything to set things right. Insurance claims can be filed when necessary.

Who will clean my home/business?


Typically we will assign a team to clean the homes/businesses of our clients. This team is comprised of one to three maids depending on your needs and preferences. One of our Quality Control Supervisors may also drop in to ensure that our team is meeting the high standards we have set and that all your specific requests are handled properly

How long does it take to complete the job?

 

 Condition and size of the home/business dictate actual time.

What time will the cleaner arrive?
 
At Sylvia's, we can't guarantee what time residential housekeepers will arrive because each home gets the attention it deserves and not a pre-determined amount of time. Still, most homes fall easily into regularly scheduled cleaning windows between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. If for any reason you require a more precise time of arrival, please contact us and we will try to make that possible.

Do you provide equipment and supplies or do I?

 

If you prefer we can use your supplies, but typically we provide our own supplies and equipment. If you would rather provide your own items, we use: paper towels, sponges, a mop, broom, vacuum cleaner and trash bags. Products we use include Tilex, Pine-Sol, Soft Scrub, Windex, Wood Floor Cleaner, Easy Off and Clorox Cleaner. For a detailed list please contact us and we can email it to you. For those who prefer our Green Cleaning option, we use the Clorox Green Works line.

How do I pay for the service?

 

Payments are due the day of your scheduled home cleaning service. Most customers find it convenient to simply leave a check in the home, made payable to Sylvia's Cleaning Services, however we also accept cash and credit cards.

Couldn't I find cheaper cleaning services?

 

Yes you can. Sometimes a person or a couple working by themselves would charge less for a cleaning visit. In fact, there are a large number of people working this way out there. However, most of those are not licensed, bonded, or insured. But, apart from the risks, reliability and quality usually become issues. For instance, complaints go directly to the one doing the job, while when working with Sylvia's you rely primarily on management to address your concerns. This ensures your complaints are independently listened to and professionally addressed. It is well known that quality of unsupervised work tends to go down. Apart from these inconsistencies, you need to deal with the inconvenience of missing services due to provider's sickness or any other reason leading to a no show situation.
